What is an HRMS?

An HRMS (human resource management system) is software that keeps one record for every employee and runs the HR processes built on it: hiring, onboarding, attendance, leave, payroll, performance, learning and employee service. It replaces spreadsheets and separate tools, so HR, managers and finance work from the same data.

What an HRMS does

An HRMS holds the employee record — job, manager, pay, documents and history — and runs the processes that read and change it.

Requests move through approvals, payroll uses the same attendance and leave data, and reports draw on one source instead of several exports.

Modules to expect

A complete HRMS covers these five areas. Ergenza includes all of them in one product, on one employee record:

How to choose an HRMS: questions to ask

  • Which countries do you pay people in, and who keeps tax rates and legal rules up to date?
  • Do payroll, leave and attendance share one employee record, or will you reconcile exports?
  • Must the system run in your own environment, or is the vendor's cloud acceptable?
  • Which languages do employees and managers need, including right-to-left scripts?
  • Can your team change approval chains and policies without the vendor?
  • How is your data separated from other customers, and is every change audited?
  • Which identity provider, accounting and messaging tools must it connect to?

Where Ergenza fits

Ergenza is one product for core HR, payroll, talent and HR service, built for organisations that pay people in more than one country. Tax and legal values are settings your team edits. The interface is in English, French and Arabic. Enterprise customers can run it on their own servers.

Ergenza is in early access and in active development, so it suits teams that want to evaluate a product with us before launch.
