Multi-country payroll with tax values you can edit

Multi-country payroll means paying employees in several countries from one system while following each country’s rules. In Ergenza, rates, limits and tax rules are settings your payroll team edits, not numbers written into the software. A rule change does not wait for a software update.

How tax values with a start date work

Each tax or legal value is stored with the date it takes effect. When a rate or limit changes, your team adds the new value with its start date, so a mid-year change applies from the right month.

Because the values are data, every country is set up the same way. Where we have a starting set of values for a country, your team reviews and edits it.

What your company sets up

  • Tax rates, limits and thresholds, each with a start date
  • Taxability rules, for example for end-of-service and leave-encashment payments
  • Legal leave entitlements, as settings rather than fixed rules
  • Pay groups and the currency each one is paid in
  • Who reviews and approves payroll before it is paid (once live payroll is enabled)

What payroll produces

  • Payslip drafts for each employee (preview today)
  • Arrears for back-dated changes, carried into the next run
  • Year-end tax-form exports (available when live payroll is enabled)
  • Payroll journals for your accounting system (available once live payroll is switched on for your company)

Limits, stated plainly

  • Payroll is in active development. Parts of the payroll output are not yet enabled in early-access builds.
  • Ergenza does not give tax or legal advice: your payroll team or adviser decides the values, and the product applies them.
  • Seed values are a starting point to review, not a guarantee of compliance.
  • Every trial workspace is approved by hand, and you configure it for the countries you pay people in.

Questions and answers

Can Ergenza pay employees in more than one country?
Yes. Payroll is built for several countries and several currencies in one company account, and every country is set up the same way, with its tax and legal values as settings.
Who keeps tax rates and legal values up to date?
Your payroll team. Rates, limits and tax rules are settings with a start date that your team edits, so a change applies from that date without waiting for a software update.
Does Ergenza give tax or legal advice?
No. Ergenza applies the values your team or adviser sets. Seed values for a country are a starting point to review, not a guarantee of compliance.
Which languages does Ergenza support?
English, French and Arabic, with a full right-to-left layout for Arabic.
